Founder & Guide
Aileen is the founder of South of East. Born in Asia to an Indonesian mother and American father with Scottish, Hungarian, and Nordic roots, she was raised across multiple continents and multiple cultures. Indonesia remains her second home; she finds her way back there several times a year. For her, travel was never just an escape; it was a way of life. With a background in fashion and luxury lifestyle management, she has always cared more about how a place feels than how many stars it has.
She designs trips that reflect who you are and how you want to feel, with the discretion, access, and seamless planning expected at this level. For Aileen, it isn’t about ticking boxes or collecting bragging rights (though a few may come along the way).
